Choices and Consequences

     

Target Population: Teens ages 14-17 who are referred as the result of an infraction of alcohol, tobacco or drug use related rules at home, in school or in the community.

Increase in positive decision making ability among referred youth.

Decrease in use of tobacco, alcohol and other drugs.

Foster the acquisition of general life skills and specific skills for resisting drug use.
 

School-based and agency based sessions.

 

Informational program that provides accurate information about drug use and related issues with a focus on understanding the choices users make and the consequences of their choices.
 

Decrease in infractions resulting from use of alcohol, tobacco and other drug use among participants.

Referral to other programs or a higher level of treatment when indicated.

Increase self image, decision making ability, communication skills, and other social skills.
