Parent Education

     

Target Population: Parents of all ages seeking information or services related to youth involvement with alcohol, drugs and related social problems.

Parents interested in learning about raising resilient children.

Educate parents about reducing risk factors and enhancing protective factors associated with alcohol and drug use, and substance abuse by youth.

Educate parents about developmental assets and strategies for raising resilient children.

Agency based personal contact with individuals and families.

School, church, social organization or workplace based  training programs.

Provide resources, skill training and educational programs through individual contact, small parenting groups and large group presentations.

Dissemination of information about raising resilient children through media.

Increase knowledge of developmental assets and strategies that reduce risk factors and increase protective factors associated with raising resilient children.

Improve parent child communication.

Increase knowledge of relevant community resources.
