Parent Education Programs

     

Discovering Normal:

Becoming a Love and Logic Parent


This training combines two very effective parenting programs. "Discovering Normal" is a parent skills training to help parents understand how alcohol/substance abuse and addiction affects families. "Becoming a Love and Logic Parent" offers techniques which build responsible children who are capable of solving their own problems.

    • Parents will learn skills in:
    • Identifying normal childhood developmental stages
    • Preventing substance abuse
    • Gaining Family cooperation with the COOL formula
    • Determining who owns the problem
    • Allowing kids to experience natural consequences
    • Understanding kids!

There is no fee for this program. This training is offered as a free service by BRiDGES Prevention/Education program and Liberty Resources Partners in Prevention. Classes and are typically scheduled in the spring and fall. Call the BRiDGES office at (315) 697-3947 for more information.
