Where are we located: We are in Madison County, which is a county that is located in the middle of New York State. What our area is like: Madison County is a rather unique area. Located between the cities of Syracuse and Utica, it is home to a diverse collection of people. The county has both rural farmland and suburban areas. Partners

Part of what makes Madison County's Promise strong is having a network of 'partners.' Partners support MCP's work in the community in many different ways. Partners are able to choose their level of commitment to our 5 Promises in several ways:
Volunteer space: offer to host an MCP meeting! Volunteer time: offer to sit on one of our committees. Volunteer time: join the Community Board! Volunteer word-of-mouth: offer to hang our flyers and posters. Volunteer funds: contribute to our projects that make Madison County a better place. Contact us to become a partner today, click here. Safe Pill Drop Off

The first Madison County Safe Pill Drop Off was conducted on September 12, 2009. Over 160,000 pills were collected or 140 pounds of old and unused medications! The Drug Free Task Force would like to thank the many groups that worked together on this project-especially the Madison County Department of Solid Waste and Sanitation. More drop offs will be planned in 2010.
Why are we concerned with old medications and disposing of them? We want to see people properly dispose of meds to help decrease prescription drug abuse and to help decrease the environmental issues caused by improper medication disposal. Need to dispose of your old medications safely inbetween Safe Pill Drop Off events? Download guidelines on how to safely dispose of old meds by clicking here.

Social Host

Social Host What is Social Host Liability? "The provision of alcoholic beverages to underage persons. In contrast, social host liability laws (also known as teen party ordinances, loud or unruly gathering ordinances, or response costs ordinances) target the location in which underage drinking takes place. Social host liability laws hold non-commercial individuals responsible for underage drinking events on property they own, lease, or otherwise control..." from SocialHost.org

Click here to read the mission statement. IMPACT currently brings together youth pastors/youth leaders in the county from all denominations. The group is welcoming to people from all faiths. Both MCP and ACT For Youth support the work of the group. View Video from the most recent Networking Dinner!
